MY PHILOSOPHY
I'm often asked how I got started in boudoir portraiture and it wasn't until I specialized in boudoir exclusively 12 years ago, I realized the profound effects this genre of photography has on a woman's self worth. It’s so much more than just a photoshoot - it’s being able to step out of your comfort zone and re-claim your femininity.
This genre of photography is my JAM and let me tell you why -- No matter where you are in your life, your relationship status, your age, the number on the scale, through this experience we give the middle finger to those unrealistic expectations of beauty thrown in our faces on a daily basis. I believe this experience is about unveiling your own kind of beautiful and honoring the body you are in. It’s about celebrating you, the masterpiece, and I want you to open your album or walk past that wall art hanging on the wall years from now with love and appreciation of the art that you are. #HONORYOURMASTERPIECE

Here at Julie Socher Boudoir, I've made it my purpose to get to know my clients on a personal level to show them they can love and honor themselves through boudoir portraiture and I’ll be there hyping them up every step of the way. No special occasion needed. Boudoir in itself is an occasion and the ultimate way to celebrate and honor YOU. (Not to mention the ultimate “me time!”) My intention is for you to look back at your portraits and remember the time you went beyond your comfort zone and did the very thing you thought you couldn’t.

ABOUT JULIE
I’m a passionate creative at heart and my inspirations come from traveling to places that feed my curiosity, grounding myself in nature, exploring art galleries and places rich with history, and chasing sunsets with the windows down and music blaring. Lately, you can find me in the backyard by the firepit roasting marshmallows with my husband or snuggled up inside with my rescue pups, Stella and Goose and quarantine kitties, Butters and Tango.
Most of all, it’s the hundreds of women I’ve connected with that bring their own unique stories to my studio and trust me to create an empowering experience resulting in portraits they will cherish for a lifetime. I whole heartedly believe we all have gifts, and sometimes those gifts we share often come from the struggles we endure. As a woman who has struggled to see my own self worth, my greatest hope is for women to walk out of my studio feeling powerful, fearless and beautiful as she is in that moment, and have that confidence trickle down in every aspect of her life endlessly.
