Her boudoir session was fire

I have a funny story about C’s session.

We were right in the middle of her shoot when I started to smell something burning. I stoped for a second and asked her “Do you smell that? Something is burning?” I followed my nose and it led me to peek my head out of the studio door into the hallway where I found my neighbor with her door wide open fanning smoke out of her place. I asked if she needed any help and she said the fire is gone but there’s just so much smoke and she didn’t needed help with but thanked me for the offer and the fire dept was on their way. And unfortunately the windows don’t open.

So I came back to resume the session now that I knew what was going on. No fire, but there’s smoke in the hallway. Fast forward to 10 min later the fire alarms were finally going off and and I peeked my head out again to check and see if we had to evacuate the building. They said we were good to stay, there’s no fire. Looks like it’s under control. Phew!

If you can imagine me trying to pose and shoot through a screaming alarm, that’s exactly what I did. C and I posed through about 7-10 min of blaring alarms where at times it felt like we were playing charades. We couldn’t help but laugh through it all. Well, there’s a first for everything, right? Thank you C for powering through those alarms that were out of my control!

Needless to say we created some gorgeous images for her to gift to her new hubby on their wedding date!

What inspired you to do a boudoir session?: I wanted to give my future husband something extra special on our wedding day. He would never expect me to do a boudoir shoot so he is going to be so surprised once he see my album!

What made you decide to schedule your session with Julie?: I found Julie through my make up artist! I saw Kristen post a picture on her Instagram from her recent trip that she did with Julie! I saw the pictures and I was so interested to know more about Julie and her boudoir work!

What was your biggest fear in doing a boudoir session? Did it come true? What happened instead?: My biggest fear was that I would have no idea how to pose correctly and that my photos would turn out terrible because I didn’t know what I was doing. Julie is absolutely amazing and guided me every step of the way, making me feel so comfortable and confident. My photos turned out better then I would have ever been imagined and I will keep them forever.

What was your favorite part of your boudoir session?: My favorite part of my boudoir session was talking and laughing with Julie. I had a fire alarm going off the in middle of my session and she encouraged me and made me feel so comfortable the whole way through the session. She is amazing and we had or laughing during and after the session about the fire alarm!

If you were to recommend us to your best friend, what would you say?: I would say if you want a great experience and absolutely gorgeous photos, the Julie is the perfect person your you!
